Happy New Year from all of us at Event Music!

Happy New Year! After a very busy Christmas and New Year’s Eve we have had a little while to recover. We are now fully back into the swing of things and gearing up for an exciting 2020.

Christmas 2019 was packed full of Rudding Park Christmas Party Nights, Christmas Jazz Events and even Santas Grottos. We had classy Festive Piano Candlelit Dinners at Swinton Park and a handful of very lovely, Christmassy weddings at Rudding Park, Wharfedale Grange, Swinton Park and Ripley Castle.

So what have we been up to over Christmas and New Year?

Rudding Park Ice White Ball

An amazing theme this year – Ice White. We loved creating this effect in the Radcliffe Room – another one of Chris’s visions which came to reality!

Don’t you just love the mirror balls?

We are always delighted to see many of our previous clients at NYE – some who we played for years ago and many from just last year.

Rudding Park Party Nights

Chris Hilton’s Little Big Band for guests arriving and the party after dinner.

Rudding Park Party Night Carols!

Everybody loves to sing a Christmas tune!

This is particularly the case at Rudding Park’s Party Nights with Chris Hilton’s Little Big Band. We can’t keep the guests away!

In-between Christmas and New Year’s Eve

After a few days rest over Christmas we had a couple of very lovely weddings – a pre-wedding party at Swinton Park with Trio Vivo and an intimate, very small wedding in the old part of Ripley Castle.

We were then into a few days of set-up for New Year’s Eve which started with an inter-room sound system for the duo who see in the New Year at The Box Tree in Ilkley.

We were then onto the band set-ups and lighting for parties at Goldsborough Hall, Rudding Park and Grantley Hall:

Grantley Hall, Ripon

This amazing, new, 5-star venue near Ripon saw in the New Year with a 1920s evening in the Grantley Suite. An extremely glamorous dinner followed by our 1920s band for a few foxtrots and waltzes. This turned into a party band after dinner, with Auld Lang Syne to see in the New Year and amazing fireworks to top it all off.

Rudding Park Ice White Ball

We loved the theme this year – Ice White. Chris’s vision of the Radcliffe Room came to reality.

We love the mirror balls, don’t you?!

It’s brilliant to see many of our previous clients at the Rudding Park New Year’s Eve Ball – clients from years ago and people whose weddings we played for just last year!

Radcliffe Room, Rudding Park

Snowflakes, sparkly, dancefloor, mirror balls, white sparkly starcloth, white stage, fabulous Chris Hilton’s Little Big Band and amazing piper –

you couldn’t wish for a better party to see in the New Year!

The Clocktower Restaurant, Rudding Park

The Clocktower Bar and restaurant at Rudding Park was set for a club DJ vibe with uplighting throughout and LED colour-changing poseur tables.

Event Music Party Band at Goldsborough Hall

We always love being at the beautiful Goldsborough Hall and New Year’s Eve is such a classy affair. A smart dinner followed by dancing the night away into the New Year.

We even have some regulars coming every year from Germany who like to have a little waltz to start off the night!

Although we do have to take a few days (or nearer a week!) to recover after New Year, it’s fabulous to create such great parties at such amazing venues.

Here’s to a busy and exciting 2020!
